Wednesday Preview (May 25)

Terre Haute Action Track

The United States Auto Club AMSOIL Sprint Cars make their first of three appearances in 2016 at the famed Terre Haute Action Track on Wednesday night as we kick of the USAC Week of Indy.

Brady Bacon will lead the charge going into the 46th running of the Tony Hulman Classic on Wednesday evening. Bacon, coming off a pair of runner-up finishes over the weekend, leads the series points standings by 19 points over Thomas Meseraull. Chase Stockon, CJ Leary and Dave Darland round out the current top five in the standings.

Kevin Thomas Jr. has also been hot recently in his 4J Motorsports sprint car. "KTJ" finished 3rd in USAC action on Friday night at Gas City before winning the USAC feature the next night in Brownstown. He finished off his weekend strong as well winning the 25-lap feature at Kokomo on Sunday evening in a entertaining race that featured a photo finish.

UMP modifieds will also be in action in conjunction with the USAC sprint cars.

Anderson Speedway

As we inch closer to the 68th Annual Pay Less Little 500 there will be plenty of action at Anderson Speedway on Wednesday.

Following an earlier Little 500 practice session the Must See Racing Sprint Car Series will take to the track for the Must See Racing Ivy Tech 60.

Brian Gerster enters the event as the hot driver after winning both series races over the weekend at Shady Bowl Speedway and Spitzer Motor Speedway, both in Ohio. He and 2015 series champion Jimmy McCune are currently in a tight battle atop the points standings for the series championship.

Also in action at Anderson on Wednesday evening, the Kenyon midgets as well as thunder roadsters.
