Paragon Speedway
When it comes to a track that is dry and slick, Brady Short is always competitive. Saturday night at Paragon was a Brady Short type of track as he dashed to victory in the 68 lap Amati Classic. Short was able to hold off multiple charges by Max McGhee to pick up a $3,000 pay check. The win, Short's fifth of the season, was his first of the season at Paragon.
McGhee was able to hang on for second while Chris Windom finished third. Jeff Bland Jr. who took a break from his usual duties at Lincoln Park Speedway on Saturday night, had a strong run in fourth while Josh Cunningham battled to a fifth place finish.

Since Memorial Day, along with Bryan Clauson, Kevin Thomas Jr. has been the hottest sprint car driver in the state of Indiana, a trend that continued Saturday night in Putnamville.
Thomas Jr., driving the 4J Motorsports machine, was able to get past track championship points leader Shane Cockrum inside of five to go in order to pick up his 5th Indiana sprint car win of the season and 6th overall.
Cockrum, who led nearly the entire race after passing Chad Boespflug early on, was able to hang on for second in front of a charging AJ Hopkins who finished third after starting deep in the 20 car field in 14th. Cole Smith also put in a good run finishing 4th while Kyle Simon rounded out the top five coming from 15th.
