Bloomington Speedway

With possible wet stuff on the way this weekend, 22 cars made the trip to the red clay of Bloomington Speedway on Friday night to get their racing fix.

At the end of the night it was once again Brady Short taking the top step on the podium just as he did one week ago. Jeff Bland, who started in 9th had a nice run and finished second while "The People's Champ" Dave Darland finished third. CJ Leary and Shane Cottle rounded out the top five.

Darland, who started on the front row, jumped out to an early lead with Short in tow while numerous drivers including Cottle, Leary, AJ Hopkins, Jarret Andretti and Jeff Bland battled for 3rd.

Short was able to get by Darland after a handful of laps and they ran one and two until a caution with 12 laps to go closed the field back up. Following the restart Short pulled away as Bland was able to get by Darland who salvaged third.

Bloomington will be back in action on May 13.
