Friday, June 30

Kokomo Speedway

The Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions sprint cars return to Kokomo Speedway on Friday night in what will be the series only trip to Indiana in 2017.

Chad Kemenah leads the charge into Kokomo as the series points leader while Ryan Smith sits in second, 258 points behind. New Castle, Indiana'a Caleb Armstrong is third in the standings.

Christopher Bell and Rico Abreu picked up victories on back-to-back nights the last time ASCoC made an appearance at Indiana's Baddest Bullring in 2016.

D2 midgets will also be in action on Friday evening.

Lincoln Park Speedway

After being rained out last Friday night at Terre Haute, the USAC AMSOIL National Sprint Cars are back at it this Friday night in Putnamville for night #1 of the Bill Gardner Sprintacular.

In the same event one year ago it was Robert Ballou leading all 30 laps of the feature en route to the victory followed by Chad Boespflug with Brady Bacon rounding out the podium.

The two day event will continue on Saturday night with the MSCS sprint cars. UMP modifieds, super stocks and bombers will be in action on both nights.

Bloomington Speedway

Like Terre Haute, Bloomington Speedway also rained out last Friday evening but will be back in action this weekend with non-wing sprint cars as well as 305 RaceSavers, the evening will be capped off with a fireworks show.

The American Modified Series as well as super stocks will also be racing alongside both classes of sprint cars.

Saturday, July 1

Lincoln Park Speedway

The Bill Gardner Sprintacular continues on Saturday night when Lincoln Park Speedway hosts the MSCS sprint cars.

In the series' most recent event it was Brady Short picking up the victory at Brownstown Speedway with Tyler Courtney and Shane Cottle making up the rest of the podium.

Saturday will be the first of two events for the Midwest Sprint Car Series this weekend, the series will move onto Tri-State Speedway in Haubstadt on Sunday.

Paragon Speedway

After taking last weekend off, the lights will be on once again at Paragon Speedway this Saturday night. The last time sprint cars were in action in Paragon was on June 17 when Shane Cottle won the 68 lap Amati Classic.

Super stocks, bombers and hornets will be in action alongside the non-wing sprints. There will also be a fireworks display.

HARF members will receive 50% off of general admission when they present their club IDs.

Baer Field Motorsports Park

The Auto Value Bumper to Bumper Super Sprint Series is scheduled to make its first of two trips to Fort Wayne in 2017 on Saturday night when the series takes on the half mile pavement oval at Baer Field Motorsports Park in the Summit City Sprint Car Shootout.

Saturday will be the first of three scheduled events for the series in the Hoosier State during the month of July with the series also taking on New Paris Speedway next weekend and then heading back to South Bend Motor Speedway later in the month.

There will also be compacts, stocks, modifieds and late models in action as well.

Sunday, July 2

Tri-State Speedway

The Midwest Sprint Car Series will cap off it's weekend double header on Sunday night when the series returns to Tri-State Speedway for the Sprint Stampede. Chase Stockon picked up the win by holding off Carson Short and Robert Ballou the last time the series visited Haubstadt on June 10.

The Midwest Open Wheel Association winged sprints will also be in action alongside the MSCS sprint cars on Sunday. It will be the second trip to the track for the series in 2017. Parker Price-Miller picked up the win when MOWA visited the track in May.

Jim Moughan currently leads the MOWA points standings while Brad Loyet (-11) and AJ Bruns (-12) sit close behind in second and third.

Rounding out the action at TSS on Sunday will be UMP modifieds.

Monday, July 3

Kokomo Speedway

Indiana's Baddest Bullring welcomes non-wing sprint cars back on Monday night in what will be the final sprint car event before we kick off the 2017 edition of Indiana Sprint Week next Friday night in Gas City.

Justin Grant currently leads the track points standings while defending track champion Kevin Thomas Jr. sits just 12 points behind Grant in second. Shane Cottle is third.

Like many other tracks around the state this weekend, Kokomo will have a fireworks display on Monday evening. Modifieds and hornets will also be racing.

ASCoC releases 2017 schedule

The All Star Circuit of Champions has released its 2017 schedule which includes a lone Indiana race date at Kokomo Speedway.

ASCoC returns to Indiana's Baddest Bullring on Friday, May 19 right in the middle of a busy month of motorsports in the Hoosier State. The ASCoC date has been noted on our master schedule.

Friday Results (July 22)

Kokomo Speedway

Christopher Bell grabbed night #1 of the two-day Dirt Classic Indiana at Kokomo Speedway on Friday night.

Starting from the pole in all three races he took part in (heat, dash & feature), Bell dominated the evening winning all three and ended the night by taking home his first Indiana sprint car victory of the season.

Rico Abreu finished second after a battle for the position with Bryan Clauson ended with Clauson getting upside down while Jamie Veal charged from the sixth starting position to round out the podium.

The Dirt Classic continues tonight at Kokomo Speedway where the winner will collect $12,500.

Weekend Preview (July 22-23)

Friday, July 22

Kokomo Speedway

We will kick off the weekend in style on Friday night when the Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions visit Kokomo Speedway for the first night of the Dirt Classic.

Entering Friday night, Chad Kemenah holds a slight advantage over defending ASCoC champion Dale Blaney in series points. Other drivers scheduled to appear in the two night event include Bryan Clauson and Rico Abreu.

Making the feature on Friday will prove important as it will determine the starting lineups for the first round of heat races on Saturday.

The Midwest Sprint Car Series (MSCS) returns to action on Saturday night for the first time since July 2, this time at the Montpelier Motor Speedway.

Brandon Morin currently holds a 10 point lead in the points standings over Brady Short while Carson Short sits only 15 points behind Morin. Both Brady Short and Carson Short are hot off wins during Indiana Sprint Week.

Joining the MSCS sprint cars will be UMP modifieds, super streets and thunder cars.

Lincoln Park Speedway

Sprint cars return to Putnamville on Saturday night for the first time since last Thursday night when Brady Short dominated the fourth round of Indiana Sprint Week.

Heading into Saturday night's action it is Shane Cockrum well out front in the track championship points standings, his nearest competitor being Cullman, Alabama's Kevin Thomas Jr. who sits 76 points back.

Modifieds, super stocks and bombers will also be in action on Saturday evening at LPS.

Lawrenceburg Speedway

The Kelsey Chevrolet sprint cars will resume their tight points battle on Saturday night which is also CDL Night in Lawrenceburg. Anyone presenting a valid CDL will be granted free admission.

Jarett Andretti currently holds just a 10 point lead in the track championship standings over former track champion Shawn Westerfeld. Defending track champion Joss Moffatt sits in third place, 105 points back.

UMP modifieds, pure stocks and hornets will join the sprint cars on Lawrenceburg Speedway's high banks. For fans planning on attending the races on Saturday evening please note the different times for hot laps and opening ceremonies below. The promoter has chosen to move back the times due to the predicted high temperatures.

Paragon Speedway

As is the case on most Saturday nights, sprint cars will be racing at Paragon Speedway where Josh Cunningham and Shane Cockrum both won features last Saturday night.

Andrew Prather currently holds a narrow two point lead over Josh Cunningham in the points standings while defending track champion Jake Scott, who has collected four wins at Paragon Speedway in 2016, sits in third place.

Also in action Saturday evening at Paragon Speedway, MMSA mini-sprints, super stocks, pure stocks, hornets and bombers.

The "winged" side of life

It is still early in the season for some of the national winged sprint car series but we thought we would take a look at how some of the more prominent Indiana drivers are doing so far this season.

Joey Saldana

Saldana has started his 2016 World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series campaign on strong ground.

The "Brownsburg Bullet" picked up his second win of the season last Friday night at Devil's Bowl Speedway in Texas after picking up his first of the season at The Dirt Track at Las Vegas Motor Speedway in March.

Saldana, driving the #83 Roth Motorsports car, currently sits fourth in points just 13 points back of 7-time and reigning series champion, Donny Schatz who sits in third. He is 118 points back of current points leader Brad Sweet.

On top of his two series victories, Saldana has tallied 16 top tens as well as three quick qualifier awards.

Kraig Kinser

The son of "The King" Steve Kinser is following the Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions in 2016 after previously being a World of Outlaws regular.

Kinser started his season strong with ASCoC during Speedweeks when he won the series opener at Bubba Raceway Park in Ocala, FL. However, since then Kinser has managed only one top ten and has missed the feature in three of the series' eight feature events this season.

Kraig Kinser currently sits 13th in series points, 226 points back of points leader Dale Blaney. 

He has also tallied one top ten with the World of Outlaws in limited action.

Bryan Clauson

In case you have not heard, BC is chasing 200 races in 2016. With his campaign for 200 races comes more winged sprint car races. 

In only part time action with the World of Outlaws this season the Noblesville native has earned himself one top five as well as five top tens. 

Even with his part-time participation in the series, Clauson's consistency places him 16th in points in a series with only 13 full-time drivers that has seen 98 different drivers earn points in 2016.
