Plymouth Speedway
Rain hampered multiple races around the state on Saturday but not Plymouth where the Engine Pro Sprints on Dirt were in action on the 3/8 mile oval.
28 cars were on hand for the Earl Gaerte Classic that saw a dominating performance by Jared Horstman to pick up his first SOD win of the season. Horstman and SOD points leader Ryan Ruhl started on the front row in the 25 lap feature event that saw multiple flips and red flag periods. Horstman jumped to the lead early and would never relinquish the spot as he became the first driver to beat Ruhl this season who had won the first two SOD events.
Behind Horstman and Ruhl was Dustin Daggett and Shawn Dancer. Andy Teunessen rounded out the top five. With his second place performance Ruhl continues to lead the series points standings.
