Mother Nature wins at the No Way Out 40

Brownstown Speedway

The crew at Brownstown Speedway did everything they could on Saturday night but in the end they could not stop the rain. With eight laps complete in the feature the rain that had been in the forecast all week finally came and ended the evening in front of a large crowd.

Although the track was dried out and dusty due to the track trying to move the show along and beat the weather, the eight laps of racing in the feature did not disappoint.

Brady Short, who started on the front row, ended up coming to a stop outside of turn one on lap one and was forced to tag the tail on a complete restart. On the ensuing restart Jeff Bland jumped out to an early lead while Chad Boespflug gave chase. Meanwhile, Short made quick progress running from the tail of the field into the top ten.

Just prior to the rain starting, Chad Boespflug was able to get around Bland for the lead with Bland retaining the second position followed by Tyler Courtney, Justin Grant and CJ Leary rounding out the top five when the race was finally red flagged.
